It might give some athletes an unfair advantage…
“After eight weeks, men and women given HGH injections sprinted faster on a bicycle and had reduced fat mass and more lean body mass. Adding in testosterone boosted those effects — in men also given testosterone, the impact on sprinting ability was nearly doubled.”

So what hope the honest sprinter?

Side effects (swelling, joint pain) could be more severe at the higher doses probably taken illicitly.

Some of the HGH side effects reportedly seen in previously healthy mature patients after taking HGH include: Edema (retention of fluids) in extremities
Arthralgia (joint pain)
Carpal tunnel syndrome
Hypertension
Diabetes and other glucose metabolism imbalances
Gynecomastia (enlargement of male mammary glands)
