Your doctor would not give you HGH unless you have a real medical need for it. If you just want to be taller for no reason other than that you will be taller, you will not be given HGH. However, if you have some kind of medical problem, such as hormone imbalance or pituitary problem, you might be able to get it.

But in your case, the answer is no.

IM 17 and 5.4 and my doctor is giving hgh will i grow taller?
My endocrinologist took an x ray of my wrist 4 months ago and he said my growth plate is barely open but still open. im taking the injections in a month or so. is it possible that i can grow more at all maybe 2 inches?

If you’re specifically deficient in Growth Hormone, then yeah, they can prescribe it to you. Any licensed doctor can prescribe meds (even psychiatrists can, but they can be more scrutinized if they prescribe unusual things for them) so your family doctor certainly can if you need to.
However, if you aren’t deficient or there is no medical need (like if you want to take them recreationally for sports), you probably won’t find any doctor with an ounce of scruples who will prescribe them for you. Granted, there are unscrupulous doctors who prescribe restricted/abused drugs for enough money so you could shop around… but if you were caught with it, you could be in a lot of legal trouble as well. No. That’s not true. If it were, there would be no short people in the world, would there?
HGH is only meant for people with severe cases of dwarfism and other growth conditions. NOT for someone who just wants to be taller/bigger. No doctor is going to prescribe it for you.

I’m a 20 year old male and I’m fully grown at 5’4 132 pounds. Is it possible for me to get hGH from my doctor?

one of the best places to go to get that would be GNC. they sell DHEA which stimulates your adrenal glands to produce more testosterone. i dont think it will make you taller, it will give you more of a muscle mass. do your research very intensivley first. ther is great side affects to DHEA and any other HGH.

is it unrealistic to hope that if i asked my doctor about HGH tht it might be an option as a way to get taller?
im 17 and 5 foot 7. i dont know if i am done growing as this may be my genetic final height but it would really be great if i coulf somehow get 2-3 more inches taller. yes i sleep more than 8 hours a day, yes i eat nutritious, i follow all the standard ways to grow taller but have seen no improvement.

at 5’6 you will not find a legitimate Dr to give you HGH, especially because you want to body build. To have your growth plates checked, see an orthopedic Dr
